Crash Time IV: The Syndicate

Crash Time 4: The Syndicate is the eighth game based on the German TV series Alarm für Cobra 11. Once again the player takes the role of Ben Jäger and Semir Gerkhan to cause a lot of explosions in the city based on Cologne. Well, the goal is actually to monitor and neutralise a criminal syndicate which wants to take over the city. The player spends the whole time in his car; even the cutscenes consist only of voiceovers and shots of the vehicle.
The predecessors consisted of a linear series of missions which the player had to beat - this instalment is more open. Most of the time is spent with driving to checkpoints and randomly generated missions. Those mostly result in a car chase in which the player has to stop another car by thwarting respectively ramming/shooting it. Additionally there are about 20 pre-defined missions which capture the ludicrous ideas of the predecessors, e.g.a course with jumping challenges or a full speed race through the inner-city to collect ransom money.
Introduction:\"Crash Time 4: The Syndicate\" is the fourth installment of the \"Crash Time\" series which is based on the German TV show \"Alarm für Cobra 11\". You play as the two main characters Ben and Semir who are both chief inspectors of the federal criminal police office (BKA). Your main goal is to stop a criminal syndicate that tries to take over the city and threatens the police forces. The achievements and game play are similar to the previous entries in the series. You'll know what to expect, if you played any \"Crash Time\" games before.Abbreviated Walkthrough:Step #1 - CareerPlay on easy, unless you want a challenge. Complete the first tournament as soon as possible to unlock the Razor CTR and use it to complete career mode. It is the fastest and overall best car in the game. Install the cameras and activate the informants as soon as you can but don't bother finding all hideouts because all are unlocked on your minimap after the last story mission. Just find enough to activate the last story mission (fill the bar up to the parting line). Start from a different spawn point if you can't find any missions and arrest more syndicate members. Don't forget to escort them to jail or they'll let them go and you have to catch them again. Try to destroy the car of the first 10 syndicate members to unlock Hotshot. After that it's up to you how you stop them. You may seem to stuck at one point in career mode forever but that's how the game works. You progress the story pretty fast up to the point where you learn about the syndicate. Install cameras, activate informants, find hideouts and arrest syndicate members, win tournaments and the last mission will start eventually.Step #2 - Single player racesDo this after the 100% completion of career mode because you'll work on Pro during the career and unlock every car and track. Choose the Razor CTR and work your way down the list. You have to complete a race in both modes (circuit and point to point races) at both locations (city and autobahn/highway).Step #3 - Online racesFind a boosting partner and get 20 wins each in deathmatch (Killer), checkpoint races (Online Legend (Checkpoint Race)) and regular races (Online Legend).Step #4 - Mop-upUnlock every achievement you may have missed during career and races. Check out the achievement guide for more information on specific achievements. Conclusion:If you like the \"Crash time\" series you'll most likely enjoy this one too. It's similar to the older \"Crash Time\" games but feels like a grind towards the end because the achievement list is almost similar to the older entries and gets old pretty fast.

After you have completed Level 2 in the Career, you will be shown that you can now 'install cameras' around the city & autobahn. All the cameras are shown on your HUD when you are in close proximity to them, you must simply stop your car in the red highlighted area on the road to 'install' each camera. There are 155 cameras to install in total; 78 in the city and 77 at the autobahn. From time to time you may get alerted by another officer that one of your cameras has been destroyed (which is selected at random), so always be sure to go back to an area after this happens, even if you previously thought you had installed all the cameras there.
This can be unlocked by either winning Championship Races in the Career or in the Single Race mode at the main menu.Finish in 1st place in 50 races for this to unlock, the quickest and easiest way to do this is by going into the Single Race menu and setting up the pre-race options with the following values:Nitro Booster: OnVehicle Damage: OffTraffic: OffNumber of Laps: 1Number of Opponents: 1Opponents' Vehicles: MixedOppenents' Strength: EasyComplete 50 of these 1 Lap races, making sure you finish in 1st place each time.
This is the most time consuming achievement in the game and it is achieved by:- Arrest all 63 criminals. (Small magnifying glass icon on HUD) [These can be found by driving around the map or by stealth following criminals to locations]- Install all 155 cameras. (Camera icon on HUD) [Stop inside any red circle with a camera icon to install a camera]- Activate all 6 informants. (Large magnifying glass icon on HUD) [Gained through story progression]Your current progress (%) and statistics towards this achievement can be seen on the main Career mode selection screen.
Initial impressions are promising enough. The game wastes little time in dropping you into a fairly attractive open world setting. The games visuals aim for a realistic look with very little stylisation. As a result the whole thing looks a bit like a simulator with some very convincing but depressingly grey and concrete environments. Despite this the vehicle models look good and the particle effects are great and your first crash will make you think the game is a bit of a looker. As you play on through the game though, theres one glaring ommission that detracts greatly from the game: the world of Crash Time 4 is completely devoid of pedestrians. In fact, the world of Crash Time 4 is a terrifying ghost world where every streetside cafe is closed, every shopping mall is empty and every street pavement exists only as a shortcut for another frantic police pursuit. Once you notice this it immediately becomes an issue and its hard to become as immersed in the world as in similar games (like GTA or Driver) when there are no people in the world you are trying to protect.
All of this made sound incredibly negative, but the one thing that Crash Time 4 gets right is the most important aspect of the game: the actual driving is great. The handling model is perfect, striking a great balance between a sense of speed and responsive control. During the pursuits you always feel like you are in charge of your vehicle and when you fail you feel like its your own fault. The sense of speed is incredible; when you use your turbo you constantly feel like you are milliseconds from crashing while the environments blur past you.
Crash Time 4 seamlessly integrates a brutal, bone crunching physics engine that delivers intense crashes and collisions with an extensive story mode (with a wide variety of different challenges and game modes), over 40 high octaine, fully customisable, fully drestructible cars, state-of-the-art graphic and visual effects and 8 player multi-player modes for online multiplayer mayhem! The story mode in Crash Time 4 combines blockbuster action sequences with a rich cinematic driving experience. You are immersed into the roles of 2 top detectives who are on the hunt for a ruthless crime syndicate - a powerful storyline with heart pounding action throughout, set in a completely open world city across 5 different scenarios (Highway, Harbour, Forest, Valleys and Police training facility).Crash Time 4 also features integrated network play for online multiplayer mayhem - with up to 8 players. Race head to head either online or via split screen in over 40 different high speed cars on a wide variety of detailed tracks and variable terrains.Crash Time 4 (as the name suggests) excels in the crashes/smashes/collisions departments which results in hours and hours of replayablity even after you have completed the story mode.
The creators of shared Crash Time IV two main modes of play-single-player campaign, as well as, for the first time in the history of the series, the network option. In the first case, allowed us to take control of Semirem and Ben, the daring duo cops, a passion for plants and in prosecuting offenders through the streets of German cities. Presented in the game history shows the struggles of law enforcement against organised criminal group, seeking to take complete control of the colony. 59ce067264
